Binaural Field Recording Rig
This complete binaural rig was created out of necessity. I needed a pair of electrets that could handle being out in the wild. My LOM mikroUši mics sounded great, but died within a few months because the cables were just too thin. Plus, most professional field recording gear is expensive and more affordable alternatives do not exist. Until now! Built to order (two-week turnaround time).
Below is a sample recording using the “furry” binaural rig at Yellowstone National Park during a morning bison migration .
